Need Help!!!
ok so i went ot my friend house to looka t his new camaro and he wanted to hear my exhaust so i started her up and reved it by hand at the throttle body for him. and it went back to idle like normal. htne it sat for a while idleing and then i shut her off. bout five minutes later i started it upa nd she idled like crazy! went straight to 2000rpms so i turned it off and disconected the battery and waited for a while and started her again. same prob. got her home and took the idle air control vavle out and it was fine (replaced a while back ago) put it back in and started her up and idled real low about to stall and then reved back up on its own to 3000 this time and slowly started to claim so i shut her off. any idea wat this could be and how i can fix it. please i need some help ASAP thanks alot

Idle Air Control Valve, Vacuum Leak, or Throttle Position Sensor.

yea i tried the linkage by unhooking it and seein if it still had the same prob when i started it and it did so its not that. the idle air control valve was replaced bout half a year ago and i took that off and the lil metal point moves and twist freely and still looked brand new so i dont think its that. now the throttle position sensor...how can i check that or is a cheap part and try to just replace it and see if that works? thanks by the way

Mine did that one time......it was a simple fix that was VERY overlooked on my part. My bellows appered to be on the TB all the way from looking at it from the top, but it was not on very well at the bottom and was sucking to much air and the idle was all over the place.

doh!!!! nevermind you have an LT1, no bellows for you. Sorry.
Take your intake elbow off, and have a friend start the car and you watch the TB blades, you have a twin TB correct? I have heard of one of the blades sticking a tad and causing a fugged up idle. Might be worth a try.
