question about gauges - F-Body Online

i plan on buying a A-pillar gauges and was wondering what you think would be the best 3 gauges i should buy. right know my car is stock but in the future i am going to do basic mods like an exhaust system, ram air, and some suspension mods. i dont plan on putting in a turbo or supercharger so i know i dont need a boost gauge. and i have a 3.8L V6 engine w/ a manual.

It depends on how far you plan to go with your car modifications. There isnt a need for any gauges until you start pushing alot of hp, or are using some kind of FI. But I do understand the cosmedic value of them. I'd just get a Air/Fuel ratio gauge, Voltmeter, and something else, my last one is nitrous pressure, but you're not running a FI.

Fuel pressure, oil temp, oil pressure.

Three things you really need and help a bunch when diagnosing potential problems. Most cars have idiot lights or gauges. Buying aftermarket gauges gives you the ability to get actual readings.

Oil temp is huge because the'll let oyu know when you can actually get on it after starting your engine. (Oil temp 160* or more, but not over 200 if you plan on beginning to race)

But, all of those are a pain in the ass to install, not to mention some are rather expensive, I was thinking cheap and easy to install lol.

Yea but unlike a narrowband A/F gaudge they have a purpose.

And a wideband costs around $300 +

Yea, but considering hes got a stock car, I was figuring on him not wanting a ton of trouble for the install, and to spend as little as possible.

And my wideband old costed me 60, but I got it used
