Okay, so just a day ago my car was slipping along the road and taking turns real wide because it just snowed (i love being in michigan)
anyway, when i hit around 1,500 in a low gear, the car accelleration would stop to a constant speed and then jerk with intense force once the rpms went over or around 2,000.

Car is a 97 z28 6-speed
Exhaust Headers Short Shift kit and Stage 3 Clutch

quick note: I got the opti replaced over the summer and it kinda feels like its doin the same kinda thing.

One other: i havent gotten my oil changed in about 3,000 miles. Im about to, I just haven't yet because im a freshmen in college and its hard to get money for things like that.

I highly doubt oil would cause that, but then again I never thought I'd see someone hook up a leaf blower to a car's intake so you never know lol. It's just a very suggested and good policy to follow that you change your oil at 3k miles. I know of people who go 5 or 6k before changing their oil- granted it'll come back to bite them in their ass later on, but if you go a few hundred over 3k it's not that big of a deal.

Sounds like your injectors or fuel pressure is misbehaving.

Eh idk. If its a set rpm like that, its possible its line pressure, but i'd say its something physically restricting the motor to get either fuel, air, or spark.

could be the blade of your throttle body sticking slightly, clean and lube it and see what happens.

Have you done the throttle body bypass mod where the coolant no longer runs through the connections under the throttle body? That mod is fine till it gets really cold and then the throttle body will stick at times.

Nope, no free mods. Never really got into any of them. Actually it stopped happening, so I'm even more confused now. Happy, but confused. This is actually the cars first winter. It was a florida car about a year ago. That maybe the problem?

If it happens again, I'll bring it to my mechanic to hook it up and see if the scanner gets anything. Thanks, dudes.
