Default Think I am buying this 1980 Formula

I think I have found my wifes car. It is a 1980 Firebird Formula. It has a great interior, a great body, no rust except for one less than dime size spot on the passeneger side panel. The underside, trunk, and floor board are all completly rust free as are the wheel wells. The only draw back is it has a 455 buick with a 350 trans. The car runs great, has great brakes, and steers wonderfully. I plan on changing the engine anyways but it drives so nice now it can be driven until I get ready to install the engine. I am pretty sure I can get it for $3500. Here are some picture

Bseides changing out the motor mounts what else needs to be done to switch the engine out to a sb or bb chevy?

There is nothing wrong with the engine in it, but there just arent enough parts to do what I want with it. I had a 72 Buick Grand Sport with a Buick 455 and while they are nice engines there are only like 2 aftermarket heads for them and they arent cheap. Then you have a very limited supply of other parts to go with it. PLus I would have to modify the oiling system as the Buick 455 has a really poor design. I will just sell the engine, which I should be able to get a pretty penny for as it does run great and they are in very limited supply. I just need to find someone who wants to restore a 72 Buick back to stock.

Oh I left out that I actually belong here now. I am a Firebird Owner again. Its been since around 2000 since I had my last Trans Am. I think I have to sell something now as I have 6 cars and two motorcycles. My wife will be joining the board soon enough since it is actually her car.
