Default My 1984 GMC Pick Up

This car has so much history behind it. Before my grandpa got it, it had been stolen and the guys who stole it attempted to take it to Mexico, but in Mississippi they got pulled over by the police for failure to signal a turn. The guys had basically replaced all the GMC parts with Chevy parts and yanked off the GMC emblems, and even replaced the grille and tailgate with Chevy parts. My grandpa got it when I was 7 and when I was 9 me and him rebuilt the transmission. Then when I turned 15 he gave me the truck for a dollar since it had just been sitting in the yard for the last 6 years and told me to have fun with it. I rebuilt the carb with the money I got from my birthday and altered the exhaust system with my father. We yanked out half of the exhaust system because of how awful the 80's were with exhaust. Damn the emissions standards to hell! I replaced the old dented up hood in April of 2006, along with a rusted out fender, and took some rust off the roof and put bondo over it, unfortunately. It was also painted in April of the same year and I replaced the old cracked and faded Chevy grille with a custom chrome one that I got from a company called LMC. I also replaced the radiator, all the belts and hoses, and completely overhauled the interior, which was so bad when I got it that I wouldn't let my friends or girlfriend in it, but now I take pride in the interior. Here are the pictures of before and after.

After

I also put a flat bed cover on it and black side molding, but have yet to take pictures with those installed.
