hi I have a beauiful cherry red 92 firebird with 168000 miles on it. I have had it for about 5 years now, I have always taking good care of it, doing all the repair work on it myself. lately it has been stallling almost every time I come to a stop. I put it in park, since it won't start in neutral, and it starts right up, but it feels like it wants to die out, but then it runs fine till I come to a stop, I notice the rpms start to decline and I give it gas then it's fine. I have replaced the 02 sensor, the plugs, and wires, distributor cap, rotor, pvc valve, fuel filter & it still dies out when I come to a stop or slow down. When it's idleing, it feels like it's surging, rpm's going up & down. I'm thinking it's the electronic control module, but I can't figure out where it's located on the car.

Does anyone out there know so that I can take it out & put in a new one?

Welcome to FBO! I'd have to look in my Haines Manual to find that part. It sounds like you've been doing what you can to get the problem solved. My only other suggestion would be checking the timing. Then again, with that many miles it's probably coming up on time for a rebuild though. Hope you're able to get the problem solved without much more trouble. Again, welcome.
