First off welcome to the site. Here's hoping you don't think that 305 is gonna win you many races, they don't mod that well but you can make one about as fast as a all motor 3800.

Plugs, anything with Iridium. Denso, Brisk, Autolite. That is of course if you plan on keeping it N/A.

Wires, can't go wrong with anything that's 7mm or thicker. Reduced impedience = teh win.

Oil, well Motul is good stuff, so is the stuff Greddy sells, but that's hard to come by. So for the money Royal purple or any grade IV or grade V oil. Grade three synthetics are mineral based, with lots of additives. Though if that motor already uses a little oil, your best bet is to keep with mineral based and use a high millage formula. I personally like Valvoline's blend myself.

Welcome to the site. If you are wanting a pretty decent guide for your car you might try a local parts store to find a Chiltons manual for the 82-92 Camaro. Lots of good general info.

Welcome to the site and the F-body family

if it's a TPI 305 then you might want to get the TPiS Insider book
http://www.tpis.com/index.php?module...Hints+Handbook

Also, http://www.thirdgen.org has a ton of info for our cars, no matter what engine you have.

Welcome. As Special K said if you just want a nice cruiser than a 305 isn't bad, but it's not going to give you a ton of power.

Oh, and I'm not sure, but if it's tuned anything like a 5.0 stang. It's got a LOT of timing backed otu of it so you can pretty much run 87 in it. Bump the timing forward and run the good stuff (91) for a nice "free" 10+ hp.
