well i got it. its in pretty good shape. the front lip is cracked where i can put some pins to hold it up. i went and bought some plastic ones from napa for 5 bucks and it kinda holds up but the whole lip has screws and such. the previous owner was cool and helpful. told me that there is a junkyard with about 11 fbodies sittin in there. so maybe i can find another? also the back hatch motor doesnt work? its half shut and locked. but whenever i press the switch it just makes noise and wont open and it wont close completely either. just enough to be locked. how do i open and if i do will it close again?

Hmm, not sure if that's the same problem as us 4th gen guys have but it might partly be the spring that's used is wore all the hell out. What i did was I grabbed a heavier spring with the same specs save for weight as the old one, my hatch went from barely popping up to self opening.

For the rear hatch:
Check out Top-Down Solutions. They have a really great pull-down hatch repair for the 3rd gens. I bought his kit, and it has been perfect. Lon is a really good guy too, and will help you over the phone if you need it. Here is a link for it: http://www.top-downsolutions.com/index.php?cPath=22
