welcome to FBO. that's a great thing you got going there, i had a friend who was killed racing he was in a WRX "sti" and lost control they estimated the speed at over 105 mph he spun out and hit a parked van it t-boned the driverside door he was killed and his passenger was in a coma for about six months and has no memory of the accident, so keep up the good work it's people like you and programs like this that make all the difference

Yeah, I wish there was an organization around me like this. And sorry to hear about your friend Badbird.

If you are in Florida there are quite a few members there. As a matter of fact in October our World Finals will be in Gainsville. If you want to try and set something up I can get you in touch with Deputy Dean Mira. He is the president of the Florida Beat The Heat Chapter. I am not sure exactly where you are but if there is a track anywhere near you I am sure he could help you guys out.

Yeah man, is there a website for Beat the Heat? I'd like to look into this. Gainseville is about an hour, hour and half from me depending on traffic.

Yes there is a web site and it may have some contact info. We are working on a new national web site, and each state either has or is working on one. The national web site is Beat The Heat, Inc. - Racing For Education Although it is not that great yet. There is also a message board which you can ask about certain events. Unless you are a member of the board you can only get on the events parts to see what is coming your way. Beat The Heat, Inc. - Racing For Education

I will find out if there is a florida web site and get back to you. If you pm me your email I can pass it on to Dean Mira and he can give you more info about what is going on in florida.
