I've posted this before but here goes. The transmission is slipping a little bit. It can't handle the power your car is putting out at redline. If you let of the gas just a little bit when it hits redline, it will shift instantly. You can try to play around with the shift points through the hypertech tuner, and you may get it a little better, but most likely a rebuild is in order. There are very few reputable shops that can build a 4L60E, the cost is around 1500 bucks, but they are bulletproof when done.

Not to scare you or anything, but the transmission will work fine and seem flawless at anything under full throttle. You can drive a severly slipping tranny all day and night if you just cruise around.
