Cool Z-28 Saved from the rust gods

Hello,
I recently got a 82 chevy z-28 from a guy that had been sitting for twelve years on his farm. The rust had started to slowly eat at the car as well as the field mice. The car had a 350 engine swap done on it with edlebrok cam but that was all.I have recently put a new edle crab and intake on and have put a pair of edle headers and got it running. I droped the tranny to find a 400 with a 3500 stall already underneath to my suprise. I have sanded and sanded till i have all the suface rust gone and primered the old car. I have never had a camaro before but I am starting to love this car. I have pulled the rest of the emissions off the car including the cats and have shortened the exhaust to right past the cross pipe. I purchased a b&m camaro shift kit and will be installing that Shortly. Now I need to replace wiring that the mice chewed and work on the brakes which wont even move. I forgot to say that I got this car for free. So I have less than $1000 invested in it.

Welcome to FBO! Sounds like a nice project you've gotten yourself into.

My dad had a 75 Nova as his first car with the 350, by the time he got done modding it he had atleast 350 at the wheels. Those were some badass Chevys.

Well your well on your way to get a nice running 3rd gen. Just make sure you stiffen up the frame and don't neglect the suspension. If anything it needs more love than the engine in a car that age.
