I'm thinking about trimming the interior of my bird with a little black. I was thinking of painting the pieces marked with a check. I just realised these pics make my dash look brownish because of the lighting, oh well.

Was also thinking about painting the center console lid. Input is greatly appreciated since I've been wrestling with this idea for about a week now.

I painted the dash in my truck and it turned out great! I also painted the door and it wasn't so great. The squishy plastic (or whatever it is) took about a month to cure (not sure why) and slowly rubbed off over the next year where my elbow rests.

My input...go for the dash...forget the door.

Well I forgot to mention this, but the heat finally got to the dash and I have a few cracks on it so I'm gonna replace that, if I trim the interior in black then I was also thinking about getting a black dash.

Im kinda in the same boat.

Im still trying to find black carpet and paneling to replace all of my tan stuff. But i've done some research, and painting is out of the question. So im just going to find some late model T/A or 30th Ann leather camaro stuff to dump in it. It'll be expensive, but I think it'll look a ton better.

As per you're car, I rather like the colors the way it is. It may look original, but it looks like it all comes together well.

Leave them stock color and find something better than Armor all so it doesn't crack

i noticed in the pic of your door panel that your panel is cracked at the top i wonder if this is a common spot on all fbodys cause mine is cracked in the same spot on both panels anyone else have this problem if so whats the best way to fix without replacing an exspensive door panel my interior is two tone tan and charcoal

It's a fairly common problem because theres like no support under the panel in that spot. Only idea I've had thus far is to build up some kind of support structure under it if possible.

Decided against painting the pieces. Thanks for the input guys.

Phate, a cheap way for a black carpet is to just take it out, run to for example, eckard, clean them out of their black fabric dye, and just spray and scrun into the fabric. Mine came out beautifully and if you powerwash it after it dries, it will pull all of the wet dye out and leave the rest lookin black as night. as far as painting plastic....anything with a rough edge is just gonna scrape the paint off...i know from exerience as i tested it on the caramel colored rear seatbelt covering. It didnt work exactly how i expected buy the dye on the carpet was amazing and only like $15 and some elbow grease
