Default I just got new rims

Hey guys, I just picked up a set of Boyd Coddington rims from my friend. They are 17" and measure 9.5 inches bead to bead. I am not sure what size tire fits on them but I think its a 275/40/R17 is that right?

Make sure the bolt pattern is correct to fit the car first. They should be 5x4.75.

On a 9.5 inch rim, when measured by a tape measure means its a 9" rim. Max tire size would be 275/40/17. So yes, you are correct.

Thank you phate I am really looking forward to these rims. I put one on the front the other day to make sure the bolt pattern was correct and to make sure I could turn the wheel. So all is good and now that I know the correct tire size I will be ordering them from tire rack today.

I have the rims in my bedroom right now... I haven't mounted the tires on them yet but as soon as I do I will post some pics. I dry fitted the rim and they looked really good on the firebird so I cant wait until I get them on.

Are you sure they have the correct back-spacing? I've never seen those rims on a 4th gen before. If they are 9.5" wide, they will need around 6.5" to 7" of back spacing to look correct or else they will stick outsdie of the wheelwells a little bit.

They have a 6.5inch backspacing. They don't stick out at all but the front just clears my sway bar. I will post pics as soon as I get them on I haven't had time this week.
