What are the offsets of the rims? As far as the sidewall, I try to keep mine around stock diameter so I don't have to get the speedo calibrated. 275/35/18 is almost exactly stock diameter, and I don't know about 17s. With a 10.5, you could probably fit a 315/30/18 without much problem. I have 275/35/18 on 18x9.5 up front, and 295/35/18 on 18x11 out back. I could go with a much wider tire, but I got a very wide 295 instead (Goodyear GSD3s) (different companies have narrower or wider tires in the same tire range, much like shoes. A 10 in Nike might be a 9 or 11 in Reebok or Adidas.. you get the picture). I didn't find any tires within my budget range in 315
