Mother's polish. About every 6 months.

Keep them clean otherwise.

17 by 8. Did you ever get a chance to see all of my good pictures of the wheels? I remember you said you wanted to see them once I got them on.

I plan on getting one of those Mothers balls next paycheck, what do you use to put on the ball when you clean them?

Scroll a little ways down and you'll see the pictures.
yeah when my student loans come in for this next semester them wheels will deff. be on my car , how much were the wheel spacers or adapters. and the compound i use is sold with the buffing ball that comes in a tube, but u can also use this compound by mothers for aluminum and chrome its in a white bottle with a red lid its pretty expensive though. But if u wanna spend time on it and get everything perfect buy some of that never dull like rocket said, that stuff puts like a wax coating on your rim that will shed watter and keep break dust and dirt from sticking and lasts longer than the mothers but takes probably an hour per wheel if you do it right. But yeah ling please give me all the info on them rims and tires because them deff look sweet on your car, and i think thats the only thing my turdgen is missing

3rd gens need 1 1/2 or 2 inch spacers (VERY UNSAFE) and they run about 150 bucks for a set. I hate spacers and would never in my life run them.. but its up to you.

You could always get smoothies from boyd coddington and have them custom made!

I'm not running a spacer at all. Only time a 3ed gen needs a spacer is if you try to run a 4th gen offset wheel on it. Which I was going to do, but these are the right offset for my car.

Edit: Also, they make adapters for this kind of thing, instead of a spacer. It bolts onto the existing studs, and has it's own studs built in to bolt the wheel onto. Much, much safer than a spacer and longer studs. Doesn't hurt anything as long as you don't plan on racing it.

Beanx, the wheels are Eagle 211's, not sure on backspacing or offset, but they fit just right. The tires are 245/45ZR17 BFGoodrich G-Force T/A KDWS. The tires are a bit pricy for someone who wouldn't get them as cheap as me, it's almost $1000 just for tires for a customer. They would look really good on your car. You should probably go with a wider tire for the back though, since you are pushing more power than me. I would almost suggest getting some wheels that are 9.5" wide in the back and a 285/40ZR17 for the wheels. Trust me, that's a wide tire..

I don't think the Eagle 211's come in 9.5 wide, but they do have a similiar one that does if I remember right.

$400 bucks (at cost) for 4 Sumitomo HTR+ 275/45/17's (mounted by me). Some of the most impressive tires ive seen. But honestly, you cant go wrong with japanese tires.

ling, your car is probably putting down more power than mine lol all mine is is a stock 305 with exhaust. But what do u mean that they are safe unless you intend on racing it?

They were about $240 regular price. So, figure in tax and cost of mount and balance it would be near $1000.

Bean, I bet we're making about the same power. I thought you had a 350 for some reason..

The adapters just wouldn't be a good idea to drag with or auto x with because it would put more pressure on the main studs and it would not be near as strong as if the wheel was bolted directly to the car. I'm sure there are more reasons, but that's my thoughts on it.

I wasn't able to get ANY traction with 315/35/17's.
I have had 275's that grabbed better.
And the 315's were on 11" wheels and the 275's were on 9.5" wheels.

Tirerack
Now...of course tirerack doesn't include shipping, mounting, etc. with their prices, but $100 a tire difference?

So...Discount has them for $148 each.
Someone has some crazy prices.
