Default Cobalt Ss S/c Vs 3.8 Camaro

What You Guys Think Is Faster...i Know The Ss Got 5 More Hp And Should Have More Torque And Weights Way Less..but What You Think Would Be Better Having And Hooking Up?

personally i think cobalts are beautiful..ive always wanted one but never had the credit to get one..i got my credit report and i have excellent credit...its black just howi want it with black leather..prettyy much my dream car..because its small, comfortable, really quick, sounds sick, not a gas killer, and attracts the ladies..but i have heard some bad comments from people that they tend to break fast..and the aftermarket parts are pretty expensive..so i dont know what to do..i want to find out how much ima have to pay monthly first if its affordable for me then ima go for it..if nto im just get of my dream boat and hopp bakc on my muscle path..lol

yeah my cousins wife has a rust color orange cobalt ss and its an awesome looking car

didnt get to drive it cause her friend wrecked it and messed the whole axle up(poor car)

if you really like the one your lookin at theres no reason you shouldnt "try" and get it

im in the process of gettin an old camaro and i havent spent a penny since labor day(i dont even pay for my cigarettes) so i know what its like having a chance to get your dream car.

i say go for it

but is there anychance in being able to have a camaro and a cobalt? that would be awesome lol

So is this a potential race taking place or are you thinking about trading in for one?

the s/c'ed cobalts are faster by far, a stock 3.8 series II V6 camaro will be in the 16's stock in the 1/4 mile.....I have seen a bone stock SS S/C cobalt run a 14.3 stock 1/4 time.

I've heard of ones dipping into the high 13s with the only mod being pulling weight out of the back. And getting rid of those jokes of a rubberband Perlcrapppies.

One thing that you MUST do however, is get some better motor, transmission, and front suspension bushings. Axle hop is notorious for cracking motor mounts, cracking transmission casings and the axles themselves on the SC balts. Get better mounts, clutch, then axles. After that just pray the transmission don't die.

Also, if your wanna get a stage kit go stage 2, and talk the dealership into letting you have them install a niceer looking pulleyboys pulley to match your cars color. What they might not know, is that you can get smaller pullies that fit right on without having to do all the monkey work of a non modular pulley setup. And the parts will cover the origional warrenty.

Don't go Stage 3, it's not worth it last I heard.
