I raced a 98 mustang GT in my 88 5.0 firebird and smoked him. we were on the highway and he passed me, then slowed down, then i passed him and slowed down. We got side-by-side, I waved my hand and we both hit the gas. He never even came close to me.

3800>5.0 and 4.6 (till about 04) of course this is only stock for stock 5.0s can be bad ass with little gearing and performance parts, but 4.6

i dont know what your talkign about fourth gens are better then fourths

after the 1989 firebird formulas pointac lost it touch with them and i dont think they are as good but, hey thats just one mans opion.

what mods do you have done to your car? No offense, but a weak ass 98 GT is still faster than your car unless you did some serious work. I know, my father-in-law has old 3rd gen camaro w/ that 5 liter and it is weak sauce.

I believe it.
The night i wrecked mine a Mustang GT flew up past me and so i cut over and blew by him then at about 90mph we got side by side and he nodded his head at me and i nodded back. and he stomped the gas so i stomped mine and at about 120mph he was way back. he ended up following me onto a backroad still wanting to play so i did a little bit but thats what led up to my accident =[. abs and back brakes failed.... sad thing is i smoked him and my firebird was only a v6 |

im sorry but when you need to lie to yourself to make your car sound good, thats just pathetic... the first post and this post are complete an total bullshit.. noway did a 4.6l lose to a non built stock v6 firebird... now ima mustang guy and all but ill admit the early mod motors were not much, but they were still enough to easily defeat a v6 and a 5.0 bird.. so please quit running your mouth.... you did not defeat anything from a 90 roll in a v6.. the things top out at like 100.. so please just quit lieing.
