Default More kills to the list, and the first loss

So I think I'll start with the good news first. My 7 new kills. yes, 7. Well, ok. 6 and a half we'll call it.

Kill # 1. 1998 Chevrolet Cavalier Z24. Mods: WAI, Full Exhaust, mild and tasteful bodykit. Engine: 2.4L twin cam I4

I pull up to a stop light with the A/C on so the idle was a little higher than normal. The kid comes up looks, shrugs and revs. I turn the A/C off and rev back. Tension is getting greater as the light finally turns green. I blast off the line and hear the kid behind me making his tires scream like there's no tomorrow. I pull into the next gas station after bringing it up to about 80 and pulled to the nearest pump (Yes, I was really low on gas). He pulls in and we start chatting. To my astonishment he didn't pull the typical ricer lines (I missed a shift and I can't get traction). He said he knew he wasn't going to win, but just wanted to try anyways. Smart kid. Bad driver, but smart.

Kill #2. 1998 Ford Mustang GT. Mods: 351 Windsor transplant Engine: 351ci V8

Driving down the highway going to work and I see a black Mustang with a cowl hood coming up behind me. Not quickly, but still catching up. When he gets next to me I look over and he points ahead of us. I nod thinking "This oughta be easy." No. dead wrong. We both downshift as the last horn blew and he has the gain. I slowly reel him in and pass him around 120mph. Get up to 140, and cut off. Next stop light we chat and I ask what he had done. So naturally when he told me I had to pull over and look. He wasn't BSin. We chatted for a bit, shook hands, complimented each other on a good race, and went our way.

Kill #3. mid 90s Pontiac Bonniville SSEI S/C. Mods: N/A. Engine: 3.8L S/C V6

Stop light, engine rev. Light turns green. He had the jump on me (I can't launch very well...lol) but when I got it to 3rd geard it was all over for him. I hit 125 before letting off and waiting for him to come up to chat. He doesn't. Next road he turns off and goes away. I shrug and call him a panzy. no big deal.

Kill #4. Early 90s Honda Civic. Mods: N/A. Engine: N/A

True ricer. Pulls up fast, blows by you, waits for you to cacth up and just as you start slowing down, they gun it. I wasn'tn't having that. I kept my tranny in second revving close to 4G to make sure if he did, I wouldn't lose time downshifting. As I had suspected, he took off when I started to slow down. I slam the gas down to the floor and blow by him before I ever leave 2nd. 80 and he was a spec in my mirror. I see his headlights go down a sideroad. Again, shrug, profain name.

Kill #5. 2006 Shelby Mustang GT 350. Mods: N/A. Engine: N/A

Guy passes me while I'm getting gas at a gas station (Me and gas stations, I know). I finish pumping and go out to the street light. He's 2 cars ahead of me on the opposite side. I weave my way next to him, look over and see an older man, probably in his 60s. I figured he didn't want any and slowly moved on. I hear him down shift and slam the gas to get next to me. We went from a roll, 30-100. Three beeps and we're off like 2 bats outta hell. We take turns in the lead as we hit our powerbands and finally my top end prevailed. The nose of his car was even with my SS badges on my fender. A damn good race, but neither of us had enough time to chat about it. I asked him what year and that's how I came up with it. It's what he told me.

Kill #6. 2002 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder. Mods: none. Engine: N/A

Buddy of mine, just bought the car, first time I'd seen it. wants to wake himself up a bit on his way in to work so I agree (Because I know I'll win lol) and we race from a roll. 50-120. Nothing exciting on this one. Not even close. I REALLY killed im. lol.

Kill #6.5. 2004-ish Mercedes Benz AMG V12 roadster. Mods: N/A Engine: V12 something...lol

I call this one a half a kill because I don't think he was really trying. A roll from 45-140. We were hanging close all the way to 130 when I started barely gaining. Again, it ended up about the same distance as the Shelby Mustang. Nose of his car to my fender badges.

And now, for my first ever recorded loss, and it is acceptable because it was a very good and close race. I'm driving down the interstate coming home from my girlfriends house. It's maybe 1AM and there's a few people scattered on the road. All of a sudden I hear a rocket coming from behind me but don't see it anywhere. He passes me doing maybe 75-80. I was only doing 60 (55mph zone). I catch up and we agree on a 60-155 roll race. 3 beeps. 3rd gear for me, I have the jump. I have the lead up to around 135mph then see him starting to crawl towards me. 2 cars ahead, 1 narrow opening. We both slow it down a bit pass between the 2 cars, and get back on it. By the time I'm at 150 he's at the nose of my car. 155 and his front wheel is just passed my bumper. Turns out the bike was a Suzuki 800cc with no mods. He's had the bike for 3 years and has always wanted to race a T/A or an SS. We eventually traded phone numbers to set up a day where we could tape the race again.

So there we go. discuss...

Yes, it sure is. There isn't much street racing going on in this forum.
