Default turbo escort and 350z kills

Driving down this freeway where i usually find someone to race. A ford escort all of flys up next to me, so we go from 30mph roll and for a couple seconds he was actually hanging with me for a lil. We go again and this time i hear the BOV and knew it was turbo, we went from 20mph roll and i just slowly pulled away.

As im driving away a 350z blows by me then has to slam on breaks for a redlight . So we go from a dig and it was never close, i had 2 cars off the line and it stayed that way til 90~. I thought a 350z would kill me. Are there different models for the nissan Z, cuz maybe this was base model. His mods from wat i could tell were just exhaust.

The 350 should have smoked you, stock or not. I wanted one for a while now, just because it would be a great DD car. Anyway, they rolled out of the factory in 2005 with the 287hp 3.5L v6. The 2008 model is boasting improved airflow and a manifold change, making it 306hp@6800 rpm. With a 3340 curb weight, making it as heavy as our cars, but with quite a bit more punch, although the torque curve is dramatically different.

yea he should have, but he didnt haha, i killed him from the launch so that musta been it, i stopped around 90 because the road gets rough, he woulda closed the gap. I heard those 350zs with the auto/manual tranny or w/e it is sux. They are very nice i wouldnt mind one for a DD. He was trying to race though, its sounded like he was a WOT and he chirped 2nd, so idk wat happened, bad driver.

Im not doubting you did, I just have a bit more respect for the 350z's than I used to after seeing a twin turbo setup on one, (no other major modifications other than exhaust/computer/fuel) and not only would that thing boogy like a bat out of hell, but it sounded amazing. He had some kind of full titanium exhaust that I wish knew what it was called just to show you a sound clip..

i worked for nissan for a number of years, the 350z should have killed you, ive seen them keep up with V8 fbodys. all of them have the same engine so even if it was a base it still has that 3.5V6 in it that has been in Wards "top ten engines of the world" for an impressive 13 streaight years now.

good launch tho if he couldnt drive
