in the post he says the front end now weighs just about the same, he also says he cut parts in the firewall to move the motor back abot another 3-4 inches, which indeed kept the balance of the car. If he really wants to keep it up he can get a corvette (c-5) 6 speed that has like half teh tranny in the back

I'd hate to meet that on the street somewhere. I'd never know what hit me.

From what I'm seeing though he's getting his weight savings because he doesn't have a/c, power steering, or any kind of creature comforts. also he cut into the firewall like anniversaryss said. I just figured the guy was going to keep the body mostly stock. Also it's late as hell for me now because of work and I am tired. so cut me some slack. :P

Though it does look to be an awesome car. Kinda funny that he's obviously going to have to either tub or go with a widebody kit.

who needs AC? lol. I doubt he will even need power steering in that little car.

From what I understand because the way the car is made there is no direct link from the rack to the steering wheel. The optional Vspec (or some shit I can't keep track of all the packages on imports) gave you two speed steering, where at low speeds it was 1.5 turns lock to lock and at high speeds it was 3 or something. Basically what it was is a drive by wire system with two steering profiles. Something I'd never trust myself. There were retrofit kits to make them a solid link, but then you'd have to buy a header form the same company because it was like trying to shoehorn in a V-8 into a S-10.
