2006 Malibu SS parts - F-Body Online

Well, My dad just got my step-mother a xmas gift and it was a 2006 Malibu SS. They like the car, and tried the Galant Ralliart, Camry SE and something else and picked the SS over them, which is the exact opposite order of the Motortrend article, but then again motortrend gives the SS crap about its interior, I don't think they even look at them anymore, just complain

Anyways, he looked online and can't find anywhere to get performance parts for it. GM Performance parts is only dealing with the Cobalt it seems

and other than that all he saw was a brake kit.

Anyone know where I could find other things, full exhausts and things that are for this car?

I'm sure shops can fab up exhaust kits for it. What kind of motor does it have? Is it universal?

Well my dad doesn't want to waste too much money on it, but he just can't find where there are pre-exisiting performance mods. You'd think since its an SS it would, but then again they just slap those 2 letters on everything these days.

I think GM Performance Parts should have somehting, I wish they did something like Mopar did with the SRT-4's and things

I looked and came up with nothing that's bolt on, asside from fart cannons.

Those are older Malibus, my dads is the brand new 2006.

Rode in it yesterday and it's pretty peppy. I would love to have one. Also has the Sporttronic or whatever they call the auto that you can shift manually. Reading the reviews on C&D and Edmunds don't make sense to me. The car is alot better than they make it out to be.

This is the first day they got it. It's brand new, just the left overs from the 06 models.

It's got Power everything, Moonroof with a cool wind screen that pops up and reduces noise, XM Radio, TC, and all that other stuff.

I know I looked on cardomain as a last resort. Usually you'll get some guy who has a custom made exhaust on there for any model of any car. It looks like you'll be going the custom route. Any idea what the diameter of the exhaust actually is? Any more than 2.5" is kinda a waste so if it's that you might just be able to get mandrel bent pieces and use the stock straight pieces, bolt in a muffler and finish it off with tips. Viola, a performance exhaust.

And your only out $200 + the muffler tops.
