Cops have been cracking down
Cops are so stupid. Here are the 6 tickets I have gotten in past 2.5 months
Following Too Closely - $100
Parking - $35
No Front License Plate - $90
Geneseo Speeding (45 in a 30) - $155
Buffalo Speeding (58 in a 40) - $180 plus $25 for mandatory traffic school
Gates Speeding (57 in a 35) but reduced to a No Seatbelt - $100
The fines are a pain in the @$$. The only good part in this is that I only got 2 points total on my license. Since they were so close to each other and if different towns the courts were not aware of the others so at each court I used my previous good driving record to get them all reduced. But cops are everywhere I look so WATCH OUT!!!
Anyway I can't afford an LS1 anymore so I'm trying to decide between two cars.
1996 Chebrolet Camaro
3.8L V6
200 HP stock
Weight is ~ 3400 lbs
2000 Mercury Cougar
2.5L V6
165 HP stock
Weight is ~ 2800 lbs
Any thoughts???

I dunno if a LS1 is good for you right now anyways, with that record. I'd let it simmer down a bit. The more you get pulled over, the more they're gonna keep doing it.
Just drive cautiously (we all should anyways) but you'll thank yourself about a year down the line.

If it's me I go with the Camaro. I've just been a huge fan of F-bods ever since I saw Fast Times at Ridgemont High & Smokey & The Bandit all in the same day and I wasn't even 8 years old then.
FYI- I know around here cops are always looking for speeders at the end of the month because they have to meet ticket quotas (not that they'll admit it). Also the first week of the month is pretty bad because some want an early start on that quota.

That sucks Mike.Gotta obey the laws a little more.
Go with the Camaro. You can always do an LS1 swap down the road and still have it insured as a 6 banger.

Go with the Camaro.
Oh, and here's a little bit of advise....Slow down! Do your speeding at the track! It's a lot cheaper!
