Wow, Alabama has really laid back rules then, in Florida you can only take the course 5 times in a life time.

They don't keep record of it.
You get the ticket. You go to court. You ask the judge for driving school. The judge asks you if you've taken the course in the past year (some judges ask if it's been two years). You say, "no". The judge dismisses the ticket. The judge gives you the paperwork to sign up for the class.

Since they just dismiss the ticket, it's no different than if you plead innocent and get out of it. They don't keep up with why the ticket was dismissed, just that it was dismissed. So the judge asks you if it's been however long, but he has no way of knowing if you've taken the class, when, or how many times.

Ah thanks, I'll keep that in mind. Although I do plan on getting a radar detector this summer after I've done some other stuff to my car.

the best are the photo tickets... blow through and intersection here in Tucson... they mail you the ticket. There is a loop in the system though... if your face isn't the one driving who gets the ticket...HMMMM. I can't tell my father inlaw not to speed, especially when he has the ponies under the hood and the urge...come on. By the way the radar detectors are normally useless unless they are jammers. The radars the cops are getting most days are POP they run on two different freq. one low and one high.. the detector picks up the low but not before the high has already nabbed you. But they are great in a crowd like on the interstate... just don't be the fish that stops first...just cuz they flipped the lights on doesn't mean it's you they want... unless you make it.
