Default First Speeding Ticket

Going to do the driver's school to not get points on the license and not have insurance go up. Has anyone taken the course before? Just wondering on average how long it lasts.

The one I did a few years back was 8-12. It sucks, but i'd rather use my driving school for something more hurtful to your record, i'd pay a lawyer instead and get it down to improper equipment.

Well I might be bale to dispute it actually because there was no speed limit posted in the area he pulled me over at.

I was coming off of a main road into a neighborhood, but it was the main raod for that neighborhood and theres concrete walls seperating the houses from that road so it's not like some kid could run out into the road, thus I thought the limit was 35 maybe 40. I was doing 39 and the limit was 25 apparently. So yeah, I might be able to dispute it since there wasn't a posted limit, but with the way the legal system works around here the judge would probably tell me to get lost and pay the ticket. $163.50 fine, but its $143.50 if I take the course plus no points on the license and insurance can't go up.

Like how would the lawyer be able to get it changed to improper equpimet though?

Did the class today. The HWP officer showed one video of a teenager who used to street race, got into a wreck and is now paralyzed from the neck down. They were showing video clips that the kid would make before and after the races and he was such a jackass. I started laughing and the officer comes over to me and says do you think this is funny speed racer? So I said no porky pig I think it's hillarious. Dude was pissed when I took the test and got a 100.

I know that you can get out of them once and a while if they are using a out of date Radar Gun. Often times they don't calibrate them before they run out and you can always ask to see the calibration dates. Not sure how else they can do anything with improper equipment.

A lawyer can use improper equipment just about 99% of the time actually. Doesnt really matter what. He can 'claim' your speedo failed, or something along those lines.
