The first part of this was mostly for guys on another forum that I'm on, but I left it to let you guys know some of the next plans that I have for it.

Yes, my car is slow.. I don't care to hear the comments about getting more power, I have a ton of other things to worry about fixing on the car first. Especially on my drivetrain, the pinion seal on the axle is leaking, the tranni pan gasket is leaking, as with the oil pan gasket and valve cover gaskets. And after that I need to do my interior bad, I'm getting ready to get new carpet, have some found for a good price, I need to fix my leaky hatch weatherstripping as well as re-doing alot of things in there that need replaced. I also ordered a bunch of miscellaneous interior parts and screws to help that along. I also just got done cutting out all of the nasty carpet in the rear seats because it was wet underneath the seats and that's what was causing my weird smell that I have in there.

Now, aside from the slow 305 bitching I would like to present to you the better video of my cut-out, don't mind my goofy friends yelling in the background:

The sound up close to the camera kind of sucked, oh well.

So I was thinking about putting some cutouts in my car with the new 383. Wouldn't it be kind of bad with no backpressure or am I wrong?

You'll loose bottom end power and tq and if you leave it uncapped you just might possibly warp your heads if they're aluminum and you don't cap them so the exhaust side cools down slower.

well GM sells a vortec head 383 longblock. Just add your intake and headers and its' good to go. Though a LS1 is about the same price, but if I was you I'd actualyl go with a LS2 shortblock and get L98 heads, a Zed Oh sex cam, and then you'd have an easy 500whp. Also, a TKO500 woudl work better at that power level. And has that nice tall OD gear that the t56 has.

Well, I haven't really decided yet but I'm not looking into the 500hp range, I was thinking 400-450, but what's an extra 50 I suppose?

TKO500 is just a 5 speed I take it?

The main reason I want to go LS1 and T-56 is because I am absolutely in love with the thought of having a 4th gen drive train and interior wrapped in a 3rd gens body.

I still have alot of thinking to do, and plenty of time to do it. Although I am planning on a second job just so I can have extra money to spend on the Camaro and other necessary things. I have plenty of money with my main job, but extra money is always a bonus.

Yeah man, listen to Phate. Last summer I had 2 jobs so I could get my Firebird. The 80+ hour week killed me. I love lifting wieghts and I had to give that up all last summer, it was miserable!
