Default Got a new Bike

Mountain bike that is.

When I was around 15 I was a huge bike fan and probably spent at least 12 hrs a week on my bikes. I got involved with football and things in high school and college came along and I haven't really thought about them since but I just bought a new bike (a beginner mountain bike). Rode a 10.66 mile trip today around the city and in a few parks to just get the rust outta me.

Anyways, I'm just pumped I got myself into biking again. I got a 2007 Model Diamondback Response. It's a Hardtail (front susp. but no rear) since I'm a bigger guy (250lbs) and didn't have the money to get a really tough full susp. bike.

I'll have some of my own pics tomorrow, but here is what it is. It's starter components for pretty serious riders, but I plan on upgrading over the winter to help the bike along.

As long as I still like riding like I used to I'll probably get a specialized sometime within the next year as well.

Anyone else ride?

My Diamondback was my primary mode of transportation until I was about 18. I keep saying that I'm going to get another one and get back into it, but haven't actually gone through with that, yet.

That bike is a 07 model, and its only 320 if you shop around. And if I can't break it yet its not too bad of a bike

I was into biking, that was one of the means of cardio exercise I did when I went from weighing 270 to 220. The park I rode my bike at though got turned into a subdivision so I started taking boxing classes.

Nice bike, now drop some disk brakes on it and a 5" freeride fork.

A few years back I had a giant warp SE (1998-1999 model, cant remember) I rode the crap out of it then grew out of the frame. After replacing the tires with a set of michelins (not kidding, some slickrock tires because I didn't need knobs even though I lived out in the sticks, my god those things rolled fast) and rode it two more years, now it's me nephews bike and he occasionally rides it. Ive told his mom he needs to ride it to school, his bike is still 10x the bike of anyone else where he lives. An actual boxed aluminum frame. And it's yellow!
