Default Home defense

So yea, someone tried to break into my appartment while I was sleeping a few days ago. They boldly tried to kick my door in lol. Anyway, long story short, I have two cats, and some swords, and thats it. I left all of my 'firearms' with my father, which would all be useless in home defense.

I went out a researched pistols and everything I liked did not come in my price range.. so I settled for something a little less nice.. but with plenty of .. how can I say... bang for the buck?

http://www.mossberg.com/products/default.asp?id=5

If you'll scroll through the pictures, I got a version of the Mossberg 500 Tactical Cruiser, except it comes with pistol grip + stock, a heat shield and side saddle for extra rounds. I ordered it on Saturday and it should be delivered on this thursday.

I'll feel a little better just knowing I have it in my appartment now. I'd rather have it and not need it, than need it and not have it.

Nice choice. Now all you need is some rock salt rounds.

I use my Remington Mag Express 870 for guard service personally. Splurge the $20-30 for a spring saver round (Lets you release the spring without dry firing.) I've gone through 2 springs on my Remi, it pulls double duty as my sporting shotgun.

Forget salt shot. If im going to bring out a gun, its going to be to defend myself. Salt shot vs. a bullet = lose.

Dunno man, I'd rather have assault with a deadly weapon vs murder 1 any day of the week.

Thats what rocks about Florida. There's now a law that basically says you can meet force with equal or greater force.

When I turned 18 I had neough saved up for a Taurus .357 so my dad used my money to buy it but got it in his name. I keep that by my bed but don't take it anywhere with me, thats what my bowie knife is for.

Edit: Btw I reccomend this for if you wanna scare the crap out of an intruder instead of killing them... or if you're sadistic and wanna make them almost unidentafiable.

i've heard the gun's kick is so powerful that you have to be in the situation to get attacked by a bear so that you'll have a TON of adrenaline pumping to use it andn ot feel the pain from breaking a few bones in your hands or fingers.

I've got a Remmington 870 that I use for home defense. It's a left handed model so I had the barrel cut down to 18.5" without a choke. #1 buckshot is what I use for ammo.

I used to have a sign that said these premisses are protected by smith and weson 2 daysa week you pick which two. Never had anyone try to break in so i guess that worked just fine.

I'd rather have murder 1 than be murdered.

I have a few guns in my apartment but my choice for home protection is my Hearstal 9mm. I keep it on my nightstand within arms reach.
