Amen to the first one, but not before their job is done. Last thing we want is in 2 years some yahoo on their national TV declaring another holy war on the US.

^^ I know, but being a former US Marine and having seen friends die, and having lost 5 friends to this bullshit war already, I want to see our boys come home ASAP.

Not to turn this into a political thing, but I got a question for you 1NCZ28 (or anyoen else who has been in this war). I heard that we basically have to knock on doors so to speak and check if there are terrorists in places. Just wondering if theres a remote truth to this. I know it's probably a very stupid question to ask, but I'm only 18 and have never seen anything close to war and don't trust about 90% of what the media says is going on over there.

^ somewhat true, that type of "door to door" checking is based off of informants which are poorly informed themselves. I didn't do that, I was EOD (Explosive Ordinance Disposal) I was the IED disposal guy, we basically just blow shit up for a living.

Oh ok, I was wondering because I kept hearing people say stuff like "why are we doing this door to door searching instead of just leveling the whole place".

Because if we leveled the whole place there would be so much hell to pay. honesty anymore this isn't' a ware, it's policing action. Because if it was a ware there'd be a lot more civilian deaths.

Oh if we were to just level the whole place we'd have so many countries pissed off at us, next thing we know there's the potential for WW3 probably.

true, but we do need to come home and keep our noses out of others business. We play the nosy neighbor to the world and I HATE THAT.
