and it feels so fucking good.
A while back, my Uncle hit a deer with his 98 Astro. He didn't have the money to pay for a body shop, so me and my buddies tackled this thing.
He found a parts van that was 4 years older.. a 4wd Safari. We have some plans for that thing. :yup:
We had to do all sorts of electrical wiring, modifying everything to work.. but we did it without any problems hardly.
Here is what we started with:

This was after some tearing apart.

New front end in place.
And finally:

You might be able to see it, there is a good sized gap between the fender and door, we fought for an hour to get it to fit.. it never did.
We plan on painting it eventually to match, but we just got done dropping it off today. :yup:
Damn I am glad to see this thing done with and gone. We spent ALOT of time working our ass off in the cold to do this.. but it was well worth it.
Edit: A few more pics..

Whole front end tore apart.

My friend cutting some metal back to make the front end fit.

Fitment of the new front to the existing stuff on the van.
The front end pieces were spot welded on, so we had to drill all of those out to take the fronts off. We had the parts van completely tore up in a night..
