All moved in! No 'real' big issues with the move, but I am exhausted.
The one thing I couldnt believe, is that I signed up with Time Warner Cable (internet and cable) and they gave me the install time (Saturday between 1 and 3) so basically im just sitting around being patient for the guy to show, well 3:30 rolls around and I get a call from his office saying hes going to be a little late. I ask the operator how late she thinks, and she says "I dont know, i'll call you 20 minutes before he shows." and hangs up. I was like .... 'greattttt'. So, its 8:30 now, i've damn well given up on his ass ever making it to install my internet, and I go and hop in the shower to go out to eat with the gf. No longer than had I gotten fully wet then my cell phone rings. The man on the other end says "This is Soandso from Time Warner Cable, Sir, are you at your residence?" I say "I sure am, when do you think you'll be here?", "Oh, im standing outside your door sir." (So much for that 20 minutes) So we go to install my cable, it hooks up no problem, easy as cake. So we go to hook up the internet... and for some reason he fucks up the modem, and it wont run correctly. 3 hours later, its nearing midnight, plans with the gf are screwed at this point of course, and im ready to throw myself down the stairs head first. Finally he finishes and leaves. And he says, "Because of our 'on time service guarantee', we'll be mailing you a $20 check towards your next bill". And im standing there thinking, (You know, I think a whole saturday is worth more than 20 bucks.) |

Call up and complain, you'll get free HBO, Showtime or something out of it.

hope that doesnt happen to me. Im moving out in a couple of weeks and they are comming between 5-7 on the day that I move in (saturday).
Do you have to have your tv and computers hooked up for them to do what they need to do? Because Im almost positive I can do everything myself unless they need to do something that I cant. |
