I don't see how y'all manage to live up north. That shit is miserable in the winter. I've made a few trips to Boston in February and that was plenty to let me know that I didn't want any part of that.

I've thought about moving down there too. My Godfather lives in Melbourne, and I love it there. Enough to do, but not over-developed like many cities.

Hey thats just a trip across Highway 60 from me!

And Jester, what area in Florida are you looking to move to? My mom is really high up in the SunTrust mortgage department and is constantly finding deals throughout the state.

i'm from mass and the winters are sucky BUT during the off season you can get so much done on your car so that way when the nice weather rolls around all you have to worry about is keeping the tank full, and down south you get some pretty serious weather(tornadoes)and i would hate to see my ls1 hanging from a tree

We've got tornados and hurricanes, which are only a concern if you live near the coast. I've lived down here my whole life and tornados don't really scare me. They can usually spot the systems that might produce them and give you plenty of warning before before they happen. Then you can decide if you need to take cover.

Yeah I've lied in the south my whole life as well. Thank God I've never been hit by a tornado, and never saw a hurricane until I was 15, and even then it wasn't that bad by the time it made it inland.

I'm looking in the Polk county; lakeland, winter haven area...It's about a half hour away from Tampa and Orlando. If your mom has any listings in that area let me know I'll pm you with my email. I not going to be moving for about 6-8 months away, I've got somethings I have to take care of up here first.

I'm just sick of the western new york winters(at least 6 months of it), and I work prodominatly outside. I like the idea of driving my car year round and working on when I want, not because it's winter ,cant drive it, I'm board nothing to do up here, etc, etc.
I was down there for hurricane charlie, granted I was inland but it came right through where i was , it was pretty bad ass but, no 2feet of snow,10*-20* for months on end. Can you tell I'm bitter towards the north, although I'm loving the weather we've been having....
