Went out for a ride with a friend, stopped got some lunch and then were going to look at some cars for sale. I thought I heard somthing earlier but now it was a for sure. Believe I spun a main bearing. So, she is down now, gonna yank the motor and do a tear down to see WTF happened for sure. Gives me a chance to start on the 396 block I have waiting. Not sure which route I am going to go right now, but she is parked for the rest of the season. Oh well.......

Thanks.... spent 1 hour on her today, got about 1 hour more and the k-member will be out with engine/tranny attached.

that looks so familiar just got done doin the same thing for the second time in a year . the second time i did it though i took it out the top ,and it took about half the time it took me taking it out the bottom. It was also motor and trans.. My next time i'm going LSX for sure. good luck with it

Well you could put in that 396 if that was the original plan... keep the one you just busted and slowly build it up over the course of a few years. Hell I know a few speed shops that do just LT-1s that pay top dollar for clean blocks that haven't been overbored too much.
