Got stock blocks up the wazoo. Problem is with the 396 set up it would be a solid roller which is a lot of maint.

Change the lifters then :P But yea, that would put a damper on things, every 500 mile having to pull off the covers and relash everything.

Sorry to hear your car is down. But at least it happened at the end of the season instead of the beginning. Now you have time to work on it and get it ready for next year. Keep us posted on your progress.

Well after looking at my options, I think I am going forged 383 with my LE heads and a nasty cam. I am going to also do the build up of the 396 and finsh that off and install at a later date. The 396 set up will go in once I do the mini tub and 4 link set up with my moser M9. But for next season she will have the 383 and then I'll sell that motor and concentrate on shooting for ow 9's with the next set up and still be street driven. Still undecided about a new cage for her. Anyone have any suggestions in that department. Still want full interior and back seats and be leagal at the track for 9's.

Functional back seat and 9s is a tall order. I dunno if NHRA will let you get away without triangulating there or not.
