Thinking about selling The Black Car: - F-Body Online

I'm thinking about selling The Black Car and was trying to figure out what a frair asking price would be...

The car is an '02 WS6 Trans Am, black on black leather, T-Tops, Monsoon stereo, automatic, with almost 70,000 on the clock. It runs great. It has had some body work since both quarters were damaged in parking lot incidents and the paint on the front bumper was molested by a "touchless" car wash. The interior is in really good shape, except both the door panels have the standard door panel crack. The only modifications are a Corsa cat-back, SLP air-lid, and Spohn SFCs.

This is the KBB for the car. Do y'all think I could get $15,000 for it?

That KBB link is only going to work for you, but...

If you did sell it (which you shouldn't, unless its to me) you can get somewhere around there. Just go to LS1Tech.com and look at the prices some Trans Ams are going for these days, everyone wants an LS1.

Nowdays, with the price of gas, and the price on new cars, its hard to really tell you how much is a fair asking price for a car.

While your car is beautiful, I watched a 01 'SS, near imaculate, with 68k sell for 10k here locally because he got tired of having it sit in his yard and in autotrader.

I think I've been bitten by the 'vette bug... All I'm doing at this point is weighing my options, trying to figure out a budget and what savings would be necessary, that sort of thing. I'll keep y'all posted about what I decide.

It asks for my ZIP, then What type of car, so it at least doesn't work here, dunno about other peoples computers though.

A Vette would be an upgrade

Honestly, depends on the market in your area. Around here in Chicago, that is a 10k car. With that said, there are a ton of cars just like it around here. There is one for sale on a local board with less miles going for $7250, been for sale since march. If you don't have a lot of them by you, jack the price up and put her up for sale.

If it was here you'd easily get 15k for it. I say put it up on ebay and set a reserve.

Ask for 16K and also put negotiable on the ad for sale.

You will need at least a C5 Z06 (which is better than the C6) to make the leap.

Good luck if you decide to sell her. Although it will be sadening.
