It's so tough nowadays to even get a car that isn't a sub-compact under 3500 because of all the gadgets, safety restrictions, and cost. I doubt the Camaro will be under 3700lbs, but I would be very happy if it is.
GM did wonders with the weight of the Z06 and ZR1, but the pricetag also warrants those materials.

I know how to get that beast to drop weight. Take out the engine and attatch it to 1,000 Ethiopians on bikes. Give them meals and you also save on gas. My theory is if everyone switches to this then the cost of gas will fall through the floor. Camaro loses some weight, we feed the hungry, and price of gas falls... everyone wins!
