So I put insurance on my 2001 V6 firebird last night and took it out for a cruise with my buddy in his 03 mustang GT.

I lead, and took him on some back roads in this pennsylvanian hill country. And let me tell you what! the bird sure did preform, I was so impressed with handling and the speed. We pulled over into an empty lot and all he had to say is "Damn, that thing is fast."

It's quite sad that our 3.8's can perform with the mustangs. Most mustang guys know it though, and get upset when you bring it up.

I enjoyed my 2000 V6 M5 car. It suprised a lot of people by just how quick it actually was for a six-banger. I had gone down to visit my dad in FL and we had gone out to eat the two of us. On the way back home I had this late model FoxBody 5.0 GT start messing with me. Yeah...no matter how hard he tried he couldn't get past me. I was able to stay ahead of him the entire time. He was so ticked off that he had to do a "ricer" flyby on me when we got on the two lane and he passed. It was pretty funny.

Its quite fun having a 3.8 and being able to outrun v8's

I eat Mustang GT's for breakfast, even without the spray its not even a contest. The best part is we have a TON of them around here, and they all try and race me. Its quite the show.

Totally agree. The new Mustang is chubby. The new Challenger is a fat bastard. Lets hope and pray that GM doesn't screw up the Camaro with added heft. If it weighs in around 3400-3500 it will kick ass.
