anybodt that races at nyirp and knows firebirds
I used to race at nyirp and lancaster a few years ago,I just bought a 97 firebird with a 3.8 v-6,I was just wondering if anyone knows what to expect in the 1/8 and the 1/4,it is tottally stock except for cold air intake.I just might go on a wednesday night to check it out,heck the only race i ever won there was in a tottaly stock 89 camaro so who knows,also does anyone go on any cruises,or know of a f-body club around thanks

i have a 1999 firebird v6 all stock and the fastest i've ran is 16.144@86.00

There are a few "clubs" around, none that I would recommend by any stretch of the imagination though.
As for Lancaster, I don't waste my time with 1/8th mile and would rather go to NYIRP.

Well, the 3.8 is a great motor, but not all that quick stock. You're going to run about the same times as Exxx said.
There are some around the texas area twin turbo'd running 10's, with nitrous im currently only running 12.8's in the 1/4. And that will take alot of work.
But if you have any questions on what you need to do to make it a bit faster, do ask.

It's stupid simple to make them faster. Just drop a Ramjet 350 or LS block between the front wheels.
