I agree, depends on your budget and/or use for your car. If it's a DD, and your not concerned with taking corners as fast as you can everyday and your watching your wallet, you really don't need anything excessive. Gabriels are decent, cheap replacements.

OR you could try some KYB AGX's. There supposed to be a pretty good improvement for a good price.

Ive been very happy with my Bilsteins. They give a firm ride but maintain a good level of comfort.

nah screw summit. Korndogg just said today he's never buying anything from them again. get your parts from Matt@cincyperformance. He's our sponsor --> cincyperformance.com He'll find you any part and I can guarantee it will be cheaper than anyone else's. He has a soft spot for FBO members ;]

well, i looked at matt's website, and i can safely say that i will not be buying the kyb's. When i get them, I will probably be getting lowering springs at the same time.

1993-2002 Firebird/Camaro Bilstein HD Shock Package (Set of 4)

That is what I got for my car. Best price out there for Bilsteins from everything I have seen.

Koni's

If the car is lowered...they should be the ONLY option.

Are you cereal? Koni's are nearly 1K for a whole set. I think he's looking budget. Slowass is 100% right though. Koni's are the absolute best shock you can get for F-bodies, IF you're willing to shell out about $1,000.

I'm new here but here it goes, Tokico blues are great for the money. I'm still not sure what your budget is, but you can get into these for about three and a half for your front and rear. Any one ever used Vogtland shocks? The price for the springs and shocks run about what it would cost for the springs and Tokico shocks. I just don't know if they are any good.

Probably because their compression and rebounds rates are a good setup for cars that have lowering springs. I'm sure they're a good stiff shock.

I think if somebody is going to recommend products they should have some experience in using them or know somebody who has that can provide more info. Im not targeting this to anyone specific.

Snipez, you post as if you have experience with these things. Form an opinion of your own and then share that...

OP: Koni if you have money. People who buy and install Koni's on their car swear that they will never use another type of shock on their F-bodies. KYB AGX is great because it's adjustable, can be used on lowering springs with up to 1.5" drop, and can compensate for the higher spring rates that lowering springs have. Bilstein HD's are NOT to be used with lowering springs. They are far too soft to compensate for the high spring rates that lowering springs have, and they do not have bump stops to prevent the shaft from causing internal damage when over-compressed. The SLP Bilsteins do have the internal stops to prevent damage, but they also limit suspension travel whereas Koni's or KYB AGX's do not have the same limitations.

Okay, so I was looking at cincy performance, and was wondering what the difference between KYB GR-2 1993-2002 Pontiac Firebird/Trans Am Front Shock and KYB Gas A-Just 1993-2002 Pontiac Firebird/Trans Am Front Shock was, other than the price.
