Default Alarm System

Ok here's whats up. My car has an alarm/ keyless entry system on it. It was on there when I bought the car but I'm not sure wether it is factory or aftermarket. The fobs I have are Viper and there are Lights on the doors and dash that light up/ flash and there is a switch under the dash that seems to disarm the system. But, my RPO codes state that I have remote entry (AU0). Are there any sure fire ways to tell? Anyways it has been acting up recently. before I would arm it from the fob with the door or hatch open it will chirp three times and then a higher chirp when I shut it, or it would just chirp once if the car was shut up, and chirp twice when unlocked. Recently it will chirp three times and then immediately do the higher chirp before I shut the door. Alarm still goes off if you reach in to unlock it or unlock it with the key. I think it's after market though because it will go off if you unlock with the key after it's armed. Is there a way to go back to the factory system or would it be better just not to mess with it? Any help is appreciated.

Fix it over winter, then hopefully exhaust in the spring (full if I can afford it, otherwise just a Magnaflow catback) Keep putting aside some money for a repaint.

I figured. It didn't seem factory but my RPO code made me second guess. I just wonder if there's a way to get it working correctly again and if there's a way to get it so the key will open it without setting it off. Just in case my batteries died or something.

well Im sure your car came with keyless entry...but someone decided they wanted to get a viper alarm either because the original stopped working or they wanted something better at the time.

Have someone take the viper alarm out and your car should be back to normal as long as they didnt mess with any of the original stuff.
