Model T Ford VS Trans Am - F-Body Online

I was just doing a grocery run, getting the last of this years fuel out of my Trans Am before I put it in storage here soon and as I set there at the light I'm just doing the usual, playing music obnoxiously loud and I glance over to see a very nice looking Red Model T ford Hot Rod. Well I kill the music and the owner notices being able to hear his car idle as well as my own as I nod to him under the dull glow of the street lights. I holler over to him.

"Nice Rod, LS series Chevy!"

"Yea how'd you know?"

"Coil on plug ignition gives it away. See you got a carb on it though."

"Yea nice Trans Am."

Then he Revs at me!

I just laugh my ass off and open the dumps as the light across goes yellow.

So the stage is set, a nice lightweight T rod with a LS having possibly a mild cam/heads and headers going up against a heavyweight with everything done to it save for the bottom end.

Now this guy's maybe in his 50s. And he thinks I'm just some punk in a loud T/A cause I've NEVER seen his face in town. As we sit there I'm thinking. "Damn, it'd be nice to have my bottle in here just in case."

Either way I see the other light go red and I give my T/A about # grand before dumping the clutch, my Nitto NT01's shivering a few times as my car juts to one side before digging and shoving me back in the seat hard.

Meanwhile the Model T has pulled a little on me thanks no doubt to a Automatic and a set of wide ass Mickey sportsmans out back. Oh well.

My cam comes alive and I begin to reel him in. 2nd and thrid are crashed through as I scream past him letting off to shift into 4th and let a few nice flames kick out my exhaust very audibly much to my delight, and his as he rolls up to my side again and gives a thumbs up with a huge shit eatin grin.

Well as the road runs out I roll back into it to get on the highway to get out of town and some mustang about cuts him off and tries to pass me. I'm getting up to highway speed and I glance over quickly. Its' a V-6. I jsut mash the throttle and he's unable to pass me and forced to get behind.

Since Mister T Rod isbehind the Stang I decide, why not take a leasurly pace. I slow, 55, 30... 20. The T gaining quickly as the stang tries to pass again only to be denied and forced to sit between us as we sandwitch him. He quickly slows adn pulls to the other lane to let the T pass him on the right and we both continue to our destinations. ONly sharing thumbs ups as I turn off.
