So i was going home from the gym just finished puting gas feeling pretty good about myself until a red eclipse with a black bumper pops up next to me. Im jamming to some t.i. And the guy apparantly thought it was funny so i see him from the corner of my eye laughing at me,so i look at him and rev my engine and gave him a big happy meal smile,he revs his "so called engine" and it felt like his car was going to fall apart. We start running it in traffic and go for about 3 miles at it back and forth till we catch a red light. Since i bought new tires i decided to try the grip out so i rev it to 2rpms and just pop the clutch my car jumped up first but stayed a lil behind peeling out once i slammed it to 2nd gear i got grip and blew past him.i keep on till i reach 80mph and once i look back the guy is 4 cars behind me ,we get to the next red light i look at him laugh some more and bump up my music and drive away......im still not impressed by those turbo 4cyl cars

Are you sure it wasn't the 146hp non-turbo? My 96 TSI AWD had a best of 14.78 stock in the 1/4.

You're sure it was a turbo? Did you hear a blow-off valve or anything?
Personally, I like turbos, but the only turbo car I've ever owned was a Nissan Skyline. That car was a freaking blast.

It was a great little toy. 2.0 liter inline-six with a big-ass turbo and a five speed. I had a lot of fun with it, but ended up selling it and buying a van. It was atiny car inside, and I'm 6'6". I also decided that I wanted air conditioning again, and it had been yanked out of this one. Still, the frantic howl that thing made at like 6K under full boost was one of the most wicked things I've ever heard. I'll never forget it. Oh, and I think I paid something like $2K for the car. They're cheap and plentiful in Japan. [/threadjack]
