*All sex toys are banned.

*It is illegal to use profanity in front of a dead body which lies in a funeral home or in a coroners office.

*Donkeys may not be kept in bathtubs.

*No one may carry an ice cream cone in their back pocket if it is Sunday.

Cities:
Acworth- *All citizens must own a rake.

Athens- * If you want to read your favorite book in public to your friends, do it before 2:45 AM *Selling two beers at once for the same price is not allowed. *Goldfish may not be given away to entice someone to enter a game of bingo

Atlanta- *Against the law to tie a giraffe to a telephone pole or street lamp. *One man may not be on another man’s back.

Columbus- *It is illegal to carve your initials on a tree, even if it is on your own property. *No one may tease an idiot. *Picnics are prohibited in graveyards. *All Indians must return to their shore of the Chattohoochee River by nightfall. *It is illegal for stores to sell corn flakes on Sunday. *It is illegal to carry a chicken by it’s feet down Broadway on Sunday.

Dublin- *Cars may not be driven through playgrounds.

Gainsville- *Chicken must be eaten with the hands.

Kennesaw- *Every head of household must own a gun.

Marietta- *Though it is illegal to spit from a car or bus, citizens may spit from a truck.

Roswell- *The flooring of adult bookstores and video stores must be nonabsorbant and smooth textured.

That second to last one reminded me of a law that is in the town I used to live in. It was illegal to spit on the sidewalk there.

Most you can sort of figure out that it pissed off somebody, somehow so it became law, but "It is illegal for stores to sell corn flakes on Sunday." How? Why?

BTW a lot of the spitting laws go back to the days when tuberculosis was wide spread.

in the US, the minimum drinking age is 21. thats a dumb law.

I actually know the answer to this one. In truth any state can make their own law on what the drinking age should be, BUT they would lose all highway and road funding from the federal government. This is why all the states play nice and just keep it at 21 to get their money. Bunch of bullshit if you ask me. If the rest of the world can drink at 21 why can't the US?

Teenagers do a great job of killing themselves when they get behind the wheel as it is. If they allowed them to drink too... imagine all the wasted alcohol.
