GM Adds Shifts to Keep up with 2010 Camaro

While the entire automotive world is cutting back shifts at their plants, it seems like one car has gotten enough buzz to warrant a increase in overtime and an extra week of work on what was originally mandatory “time off” for the Oshawa Plant. “We can’t build them fast enough,” GM spokesman Chris Lee said Wednesday.
“We can’t build them fast enough,”
If this isn’t good news I don’t know what is. While there have been a few hick-ups (the battery cable recall) the Camaro has continued on and is still getting mass media attention. While many of us wondered if GM took too long and oversaturated the media with the Camaro for the past 4+ years, I guess we were wrong if it’s doing this well. Who knows if this will be enough to save GM, but it is at least a step in the right direction and thats where it needs to start.
